In the 18th minute Juan Telo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Inautzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saverio Dominix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Frechoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute, Venancio Etor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th match minute, La Maquina 9-12-18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorino Iban to maneuver through the defense. Bernardo Inautzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacinto Marcones's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Jacinto Marcones in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bernardo Inautzi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 33 minutes into the game, Juan Telo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Bernardo Inautzi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 35th match minute, La Maquina 9-12-18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Boniel to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute Teodoro Criston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saverio Dominix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Telo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Bernardo Inautzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Consejo del Mate's Gonzalo Perico got a free kick in the 41st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elias Taurino during the 43rd minute. Jacinto Marcones could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Bernardo Inautzi made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Telo to make the kick off. Juan Telo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernardo Inautzi having to make a save. Teodoro Criston lost his temper 51 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 51 minutes into the game, one of Consejo del Mate:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bernardo Inautzi had in the 53rdth minute some difficulties stopping Jacinto Marcones's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Bernardo Inautzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Marcones in the 54th minute of the match. A collision led to Consejo del Mate getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Teofilo Benet hit a great ball. In the 57th match minute, La Maquina 9-12-18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Telo to maneuver through the defense. Bernardo Inautzi came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by La Maquina 9-12-18's Constantino Urtsua. But to his dismay, Constantino Urtsua quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Jacinto Marcones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Bernardo Inautzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 68 minutes, Elpidio Tipi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Consejo del Mate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elpidio Tipi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 70 in the game by Emiliano Abreu from a close distance when the talented Saverio Dominix managed to make a qualified save. La Maquina 9-12-18's players were relieved. After having played for 77 minutes, Emiliano Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Consejo del Mate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emiliano Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elpidio Tipi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of La Maquina 9-12-18 booed when Consejo del Mate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Consejo del Mate's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
