Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antônio Carlos Melo succeeded in the game's 19th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. In the 24th match minute, Consejo del Mate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Azubeli to maneuver through the defense. Emiliano Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Melo in the 25th minute of play. After having played for 27 minutes, Antônio Carlos Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chelsicha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antônio Carlos Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th match minute, Chelsicha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Carlos Melo to maneuver through the defense. Emiliano Abreu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vágner Valadares went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antônio Carlos Melo was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Vágner Valadares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute Vágner Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Vágner Valadares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emiliano Abreu. Emiliano Abreu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vágner Valadares's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Vágner Valadares succeeded in the game's 83rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-7. 88 minutes into the game, Vágner Valadares recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emiliano Abreu. Vágner Valadares showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. After a rather tough play, Chelsicha's Dedê Marquez got a free kick in the 90th minute. After 93 played minutes Consejo del Mate got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Ceandro. The crowd rose to their feet as Antônio Carlos Melo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emiliano Abreu. That made the score 0-9 in the 95 minute of play.
