After some careless play in the CERRO PORTEÑO defense, Eustaquio Jaizki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cãlin Damaschin. The CERRO PORTEÑO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cãlin Damaschin should have stopped the shot. Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Pankracy Glogowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eustaquio Jaizki charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eustaquio Jaizki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eustaquio Jaizki kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Pankracy Glogowski made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis sent off a good shot on target. Pankracy Glogowski was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Pankracy Glogowski made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis sent off a good shot on target. Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pankracy Glogowski having to make a save. In the 29th minute of the match CERRO PORTEÑO got a corner. Club Atlético Atlanta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paulo Maldini ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 32 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Lázaro Cuartio. Emil Chwalkiewicz got a throw-in 35 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Paolo Caradaro. When Lázaro Cuartio fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Atlanta's protests and gave Lázaro Cuartio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázaro Cuartio to maneuver through the defense. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Atlanta from getting a goal against them. CERRO PORTEÑO's Cãlin Damaschin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Caradaro in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis in the 52nd minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pankracy Glogowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis ran back to his position shaking his head. 54 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis came free, but Pankracy Glogowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pankracy Glogowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Cãlin Damaschin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugur Chiriac in the 63rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, CERRO PORTEÑO's Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis got a free kick in the 65th minute. CERRO PORTEÑO's Abel Velasco managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Emil Chwalkiewicz in the 66 minute of the game. In the 70th minute, Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis made a precise shot to the right of Pankracy Glogowski. Club Atlético Atlanta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Cãlin Damaschin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Jaizki in the 74th minute of play. Emil Chwalkiewicz made in the 79th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Eustaquio Jaizki however managed to control. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Atlanta's zone, Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pankracy Glogowski came out of the goal and Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mugur Chiriac got free with Cãlin Damaschin in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the match, Mugur Chiriac dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cãlin Damaschin, 3-2. Lázaro Cuartio hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis scored 4-2 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pankracy Glogowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The CERRO PORTEÑO support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
