Fernando Selatse made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 18 played minutes Despidida AFC got a freekick which was hit by Kees Harmsen. In the 20th minute Alvaro Raymond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Belém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, ₳Ⱡ₳ł̇ɎɆ ₣₵'s goal looked a bit too open when Kajetan Gdowik came free, but Jacob Belém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Kajetan Gdowik made a precise shot to the right of Jacob Belém. ₳Ⱡ₳ł̇ɎɆ ₣₵'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Alvaro Raymond might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacob Belém. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvaro Raymond ran back to his position shaking his head. 30 minutes into the match, ₳Ⱡ₳ł̇ɎɆ ₣₵'s goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Raymond came free, but Jacob Belém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvaro Raymond took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacob Belém. Jacob Belém dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Raymond in the 37th minute of play forced ₳Ⱡ₳ł̇ɎɆ ₣₵'s goalkeeper Jacob Belém to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Despidida AFC booed when ₳Ⱡ₳ł̇ɎɆ ₣₵ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haşmet Semdin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, one of ₳Ⱡ₳ł̇ɎɆ ₣₵:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ₳Ⱡ₳ł̇ɎɆ ₣₵. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Feliksas Fenichev made in the 53rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Alvaro Raymond however managed to control. Alvaro Raymond's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacob Belém read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Pastor Tino replaced Kajetan Gdowik. Despidida AFC's Emiliano Velasco was substituted for Alvaro Raymond. Jacob Belém showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Velasco in the 65th minute of the match.
