The audience thought a goal was coming when Rene Aires got free with Julio Falcioni in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Bruno Medero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Aires in the 11th minute of play forced Cardo Ruso Cordobés's goalkeeper Julio Falcioni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franky Dhondt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th match minute, Loco De Remate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Mouzo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franky Dhondt in the 46th minute of play forced Loco De Remate's goalkeeper Walmir Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Loco De Remate's Roberto Mouzo got a free kick in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rene Aires to make the kick off. Julio Falcioni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Aires in the 52nd minute of the match. The supporters of Cardo Ruso Cordobés booed when Loco De Remate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Aires didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Loco De Remate getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Rene Aires hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Loco De Remate's Rene Aires got a free kick in the 61st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Modesto Urtungo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardo Ruso Cordobés's supporters rose to their feet, but Modesto Urtungo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walmir Catarinense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bennvar Back sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Deci Liberatore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Walmir Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Falcioni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Aires in the 73rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rene Aires in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Falcioni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bennvar Back blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walmir Catarinense having to make a save. Walmir Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bennvar Back in the 76th minute of play. Loco De Remate's Clodoveo Christobal was substituted for Rene Aires. In the 89th minute Bennvar Back shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Falcioni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hıdır Namal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
