After a defensive mix-up in Paulopolis's zone, Ian Coe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hakim Frémont came out of the goal and Ian Coe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute, Frazer Llewellyn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Barry Reading sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfie Heath in the 48th minute of play forced Paulopolis's goalkeeper Hakim Frémont to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lino Meira was the one to do the kick off. Paulopolis's Hakim Frémont played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Coe in the 59th minute of play. Pedro Luís Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vince Bannatyne having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Paulopolis's Enio Freire got a free kick in the 66th minute. Ian Coe struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Hakim Frémont didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crystal Phallus. Frazer Llewellyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Crystal Phallus's Ian Coe in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Hakim Frémont was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Reg Hampton kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Crystal Phallus's Vince Bannatyne proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Crystal Phallus from getting a goal against them. There was no doubt that Crystal Phallus were the better team. Crystal Phallus's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
