In the 12th minute of the match, Amadeo Santisso tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Celedonio Iraitz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some careless play in the MILLONARIOS FC defense, Silvio Llope kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiago Quiñones. The MILLONARIOS FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiago Quiñones should have stopped the shot. Maximiliano Dalmu took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiago Quiñones. Tiago Quiñones dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Rigoberto Tello's late challenge caught a MILLONARIOS FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rigoberto Tello helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Rigoberto Tello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Argoitz Marichalar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celedonio Iraitz. Black Rose 1979's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Argoitz Marichalar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Norberto Medardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Tiago Quiñones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Black Rose 1979 were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silvio Llope made a kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 51st minute of the game. One of Black Rose 1979:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MILLONARIOS FC:s goal. The referee gave MILLONARIOS FC a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Xandro Alaejos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Black Rose 1979's Celedonio Iraitz. 2-3. Tiago Quiñones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Dalmu in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to Black Rose 1979 getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Mariano Ordono hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Black Rose 1979 defense, Amadeo Santisso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celedonio Iraitz. After 84 played minutes MILLONARIOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Mascarañas. A collision led to Black Rose 1979 getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Maximiliano Dalmu hit a great ball. Celedonio Iraitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanislao Brau in the 88th minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Black Rose 1979's Silvio Llope nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiago Quiñones made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Black Rose 1979 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
