An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Tello in the 29th minute of play forced ToCoTaN FC's goalkeeper Mariano Rio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Jacinto Fagondo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Black Rose 1979 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Mariano Rio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Black Rose 1979 booed when ToCoTaN FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Eguerdi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximiliano Dalmu got free with Mariano Rio in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd minute Rigoberto Tello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Rio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Black Rose 1979 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
