The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of MILLONARIOS FC booed when C.U.E. DE COMERCIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Balendin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xoan Giraldo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gervasio Efren. C.U.E. DE COMERCIO's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tiago Quiñones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Estevon in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute of the match C.U.E. DE COMERCIO got a corner. MILLONARIOS FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gonzalo Natal ran over to the corner to take the kick. C.U.E. DE COMERCIO's Gonzalo Natal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tiago Quiñones in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanislao Brau in the 12th minute of play forced C.U.E. DE COMERCIO's goalkeeper Gervasio Efren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 14 minutes on the clock, Sebastián Gentiletti commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 15th minute, Sebastián Gentiletti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Xoan Giraldo came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the MILLONARIOS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xoan Giraldo couldn't finish the play. Tiago Quiñones came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by C.U.E. DE COMERCIO's Joel Estevon. But to his dismay, Joel Estevon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Joel Estevon might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiago Quiñones. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Estevon ran back to his position shaking his head. Tiago Quiñones took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Estevon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 played minutes C.U.E. DE COMERCIO got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Cordoba. After 35 minutes of play, C.U.E. DE COMERCIO's Joel Estevon made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiago Quiñones was left in no man's land by his defense there! 39 minutes into the match, Joel Estevon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tiago Quiñones, 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Argoitz Marichalar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, MILLONARIOS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xoan Giraldo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 60 minutes, Joel Estevon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.U.E. DE COMERCIO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Estevon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Estevon might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiago Quiñones. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Estevon ran back to his position shaking his head. Tiago Quiñones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Estevon in the 63rd minute of the match. Xandro Alaejos lost his temper 66 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for MILLONARIOS FC! Alvarez Corono's late challenge caught a C.U.E. DE COMERCIO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alvarez Corono helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th match minute, MILLONARIOS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvarez Corono to maneuver through the defense. Tiago Quiñones stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Estevon's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Iker Jon hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. A collision led to C.U.E. DE COMERCIO getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Diego Dunixi hit a great ball. Gonzalo Natal kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anacleto Urdaspal during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, C.U.E. DE COMERCIO's Anacleto Urdaspal got a free kick in the 95th minute. When Ferman Arrieta fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MILLONARIOS FC's protests and gave Ferman Arrieta a yellow card for diving instead. MILLONARIOS FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
