Kraig Fred started the match with the kick off. Maximino Merexildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Dei in the 8th minute of play. Marcos Ranolfo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ingimundur Eiríksson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. A collision led to Estudiantes de América getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Maximo Dei hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute Ingimundur Eiríksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Ranolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Ranolfo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ingimundur Eiríksson in the 30th minute. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Kraig Fred put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Maximino Merexildo. 39 minutes into the game, Kraig Fred cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Maximino Merexildo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maximino Merexildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kraig Fred in the 42nd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ingimundur Eiríksson was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Kraig Fred kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maximino Merexildo. That made the score 1-3 in the 52 minute of play. Marcos Ranolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingimundur Eiríksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Kraig Fred received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Maximino Merexildo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Estudiantes de América's Concetto Trasatti was substituted for Kraig Fred. Estudiantes de América's Traian Blăniță was substituted for Cornelio Ruisko. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Concetto Trasatti took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Maximino Merexildo to make any attempt to save it. 74 minutes into the game, Joel Cordarrel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Maximino Merexildo. Joel Cordarrel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. In the 78th minute, Timmy Vibjörnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ingimundur Eiríksson in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Ranolfo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joel Cordarrel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Maximino Merexildo made a huge save. Joel Cordarrel scored 1-6 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maximino Merexildo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Maximino Merexildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Concetto Trasatti, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Estudiantes de América's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
