The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcos Ranolfo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dabi Lorden went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Elmut Kellu took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kraig Fred in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerom Quvelirs prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute Kraig Fred shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerom Quvelirs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dabi Lorden in the 24th minute of play forced Estudiantes de América's goalkeeper Marcos Ranolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de América's goal looked a bit too open when Dabi Lorden came free, but Marcos Ranolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Estudiantes de América's Jerom Quvelirs threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kraig Fred, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Alejo Jerrold hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match.
