The coaching staff of Independente FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jonas Esteves had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Jonas Esteves kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Colby Wheeler took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nestor Quintal. Independente FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. José Vítor Rodrigues received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Darin Marks came out and tried to block the shot, but José Vítor Rodrigues slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 31st minute. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Darin Marks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Rodrigues in the 36th minute of play. Marcos Sewell hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Colby Wheeler's late challenge caught a Independente FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Colby Wheeler helped the player get up and apologised. Bill Livingston kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Romeu Guerra took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Darin Marks. C. A. Pipon Pipon's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Independente FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. C. A. Pipon Pipon were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danial Lefler to make the kick off. Romeu Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Independente FC's goalkeeper Nestor Quintal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danial Lefler. Darin Marks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Rodrigues in the 77th minute of the match. C. A. Pipon Pipon made a substitution. Kerry Lancaster replaced Landon Vogt. Nilmar Rosa hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Mendes came free, but Darin Marks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Marcel Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independente FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darin Marks breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Although Independente FC had been in control for most of the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon still came away with the win.
