Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Brazil's Benjamin da Fonseca started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin da Fonseca in the 7th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Cornelio Villegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Benigno Felo in the 11th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Brazil's Ferreirinha dos Santos. In the 12th minute, Benjamin da Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brazil fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Benjamin da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Cornelio Villegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ladislao Erramu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Isaac Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Erramu in the 19th minute of play.
