Alfredo Santana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardinho Penha's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Bernardinho Penha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sporting Tuga FC were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Botinho FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Patrício Tavares took the corner. Sporting Tuga FC's Alfredo Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Carvalho in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Matias in the 46th minute of play forced Botinho FC's goalkeeper Hílton Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Sporting Tuga FC were awarded a corner. Patrício Tavares went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Patrício Tavares almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães did a great save. Hílton Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Matias in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Sporting Tuga FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Bernardinho Penha made the kick off in the second half. Hílton Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Figueiredo in the 54th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Ivo Carvalho sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sporting Tuga FC's Alfredo Santana didn't even have to move. Carlos Figueiredos short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Hílton Magalhães to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Severiano Curado lost his temper 64 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sporting Tuga FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Figueiredo in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hílton Magalhães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Carlos Figueiredo sped through Botinho FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hílton Magalhães. In the 85th minute Carlos Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87thth minute of the game Lucas Monsanto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hílton Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Figueiredo in the 88th minute of play. Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Botinho FC from getting a goal against them. Hílton Magalhães came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Tuga FC's Carlos Figueiredo. But to his dismay, Carlos Figueiredo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. After having played for 98 minutes, Carlos Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Tuga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sporting Tuga FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
