The Sporting Tuga FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Santana should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Tuga FC's zone, Domingo Librado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Santana came out of the goal and Domingo Librado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Victorino Bonadona sped through Sporting Tuga FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfredo Santana. A collision led to Arquímedes getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ciriaco Endura hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrício Tavares during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute, Patrício Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredo Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingo Librado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26thth minute of the game Ramon Abila who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Tuga FC's Alfredo Santana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jeremias Cordario came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Tuga FC's Carlos Figueiredo. Arquímedes's Jeremias Cordario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Monsanto in the 35th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ramon Abila's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredo Santana was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Ramon Abila sped through Sporting Tuga FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfredo Santana. Alfredo Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Librado in the 41st minute of play. After 43 minutes Sporting Tuga FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Boleslaw Jestrimski who took care of the corner kick. Arquímedes's Domingo Librado was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alfredo Santana in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With an all-out effort, Sporting Tuga FC's Jeremias Cordario threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Carlos Figueiredo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Domingo Librado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Domingo Librado in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Santana saved Sporting Tuga FC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Figueiredo in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeremias Cordario prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sporting Tuga FC's Alfredo Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Librado in the 88th minute of play. In the 89thth minute of the game Domingo Librado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Tuga FC's Alfredo Santana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlos Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jeremias Cordario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Arquímedes walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
