When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Freddy Tartales sped through Botinho FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hílton Magalhães. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Freddy Tartales in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hílton Magalhães saved Botinho FC from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dorival Vinhas to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Tartales in the 86th minute of play forced Botinho FC's goalkeeper Hílton Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hílton Magalhães didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Freddy Tartales went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Botinho FC's zone, Freddy Tartales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hílton Magalhães came out of the goal and Freddy Tartales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Many of Botinho FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Botinho FC may have spent more time on the ball, but ............ were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
