Oscar Sweeney was a little too slow when Julio Garin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 2-0. 14 minutes into the match, Grantham Town FC's goalkeeper Oscar Sweeney had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julio Garin. Grantham Town FC's Oscar Sweeney proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Grantham Town FC from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute, IM James Liquin HC's Adolfo Ondino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Oscar Sweeney. Oscar Sweeney yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Julio Garin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 22nd playminute. Adolfo Ondino got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 5-0 in the right cross in the 25th match minute before Oscar Sweeney had time to react. Adolfo Ondino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Oscar Sweeney when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 30th minute, IM James Liquin HC's Romulo Fraco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 6-0. Julio Garin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oscar Sweeney came out and tried to block the shot, but Julio Garin slotted it home off the left post making it 7-0 in the 32nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Julio Garin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Oscar Sweeney. That made the score 8-0 in the 36 minute of play. Oscar Sweeney made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ladislao Patrido in the 39th minute. Verne Mason hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The long shot by Fulgencio Senio in the 43rd minute really tested Oscar Sweeney's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 44 minutes into the match, Adolfo Ondino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Oscar Sweeney, 9-0. 48 minutes into the game, IM James Liquin HC's Adolfo Ondino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oscar Sweeney made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 10-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adolfo Ondino made a kick off. Oscar Sweeney didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adolfo Ondino went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 15-0 was the resulting score. In the 98th minute, Adolfo Ondino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The IM James Liquin HC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 16-0. IM James Liquin HC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
