In the 6th minute, Torben Holst got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 7 minutes into the game, SV Gerasdorf's Marcus Lingenfelder nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oscar Sweeney made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. A collision led to Grantham Town FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Charlie Devaney hit a great ball. Dirk Lenz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Oscar Sweeney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Weber, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The supporters of Grantham Town FC booed when SV Gerasdorf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Konsel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Grantham Town FC's Thomas Culverhouse tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Dirk Lenz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Steven Ivanschitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Grantham Town FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dirk Lenz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mario Wegmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rio Locke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute Grantham Town FC were awarded a corner. Thomas Culverhouse went to the cornerflag to take it. Oscar Sweeney made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Dirk Lenz sent off a good shot on target. Steven Ivanschitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Oscar Sweeney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steven Ivanschitz took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oscar Sweeney. Oscar Sweeney dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Dirk Lenz let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 39th minute shot 4-0 at rihgt post. After 42 played minutes Torben Holst rounded Grantham Town FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 5-0. Steven Ivanschitz struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Oscar Sweeney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Gerasdorf. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcus Lingenfelder was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcus Lingenfelder in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Sweeney saved Grantham Town FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Steven Ivanschitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oscar Sweeney was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Oscar Sweeney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Lingenfelder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Sweeney didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dirk Lenz went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Joshua Jobling's late challenge caught a SV Gerasdorf's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joshua Jobling helped the player get up and apologised. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcus Lingenfelder in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Sweeney saved Grantham Town FC from getting behind. In the 67thth minute of the game Marcus Lingenfelder who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grantham Town FC's Oscar Sweeney was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dirk Lenz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Sweeney having to interfere. Grantham Town FC's Verne Mason quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Torben Holst, made in the 77th minute of the game. Oscar Sweeney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Lingenfelder in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Steven Ivanschitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SV Gerasdorf fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. After some careless play in the Grantham Town FC defense, Stefan Weber kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oscar Sweeney. The Grantham Town FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Sweeney should have stopped the shot. When Robert Krüger came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the SV Gerasdorf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Krüger couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Lingenfelder in the 93rd minute of play forced Grantham Town FC's goalkeeper Oscar Sweeney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SV Gerasdorf had played much better football throughout.
