After some careless play in the Tribos defense, Célio Fontes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicolas Trigo. The Tribos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicolas Trigo should have stopped the shot. After the first half CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Célio Fontes to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Tribos's Marcello Lewandowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal Sergipano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tribos's Nicolas Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Tribos from getting a goal against them. In the 93rd minute of the match, Kiko Tande tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nicolas Trigo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
