When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erasmo Simão made a kick off. Gualter Sampaio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diguinho Carioca having to make a save. Falcão Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Maia in the 53rd minute of play. When C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Clayton Pedron, in the 54th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for C o n f i a n ç a - SE. After 59 played minutes Grentino FC got a freekick which was hit by Fedor Delafosse.
