Noel Velloso was slow to take the kick. During this time Sipo EC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Sipo EC's Noel Velloso to fire away a dangerous shot which Juvenal Sergipano despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Zanussi in the 16th minute of play forced Sipo EC's goalkeeper Carroll Hathaway to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clemente Zanussi took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carroll Hathaway. Carroll Hathaway dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With his leg Juvenal Sergipano managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Sipo EC's Oséias Gerber fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 25th minute, Célio Fontes made a precise shot to the right of Carroll Hathaway. Sipo EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Oséias Gerbers short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Juvenal Sergipano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 32 minutes, Oséias Gerber made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Juvenal Sergipano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 35 minutes into the match, Valdir Arósio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Juvenal Sergipano, 2-2. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Juvenal Sergipano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When Elói Ferreira came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Sipo EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elói Ferreira couldn't finish the play. Sipo EC's Carroll Hathaway played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lobo Zornoza in the 53rd minute of play. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Célio Fontes in the 54th minute. The corner led CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Célio Fontes to fire away a dangerous shot which Carroll Hathaway despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Juvenal Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oséias Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute Lobo Zornoza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carroll Hathaway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lobo Zornoza in the 62nd minute of play forced Sipo EC's goalkeeper Carroll Hathaway to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Amado Froila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute Lobo Zornoza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carroll Hathaway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Sipo EC's Elói Ferreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal Sergipano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carroll Hathaway made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Amado Froila sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elói Ferreira in the 74th minute of play forced CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Juvenal Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lobo Zornoza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Juvenal Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói Ferreira in the 81st minute of the match. Lobo Zornoza might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carroll Hathaway. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lobo Zornoza ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Lobo Zornoza sped through Sipo EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carroll Hathaway. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Kiko Tande was substituted for Célio Fontes. Juvenal Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséias Gerber in the 90th minute of play. Américo Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Carroll Hathaway showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kiko Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
