The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gualter Sampaio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Betão de Moraes made a huge save. In the 6th minute, Grentino FC's Amadeu de Alcântara ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Betão de Moraes. Betão de Moraes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Patrick Fontes hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Grentino FC's Bo Edström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Betão de Moraes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Erasmo Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Betão de Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Betão de Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gualter Sampaio went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 19 minutes into the game, Erasmo Simão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Betão de Moraes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Erasmo Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Betão de Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Joaquin Xacintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. Betão de Moraes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 30th minute, Joaquin Xacintu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 31st minute, Almir de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gualter Sampaio got free with Betão de Moraes in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 de Março FC's Betão de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Simão in the 34th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in 20 de Março FC's zone, Joaquin Xacintu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betão de Moraes came out of the goal and Joaquin Xacintu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erasmo Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betão de Moraes having to interfere. Betão de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Xacintu in the 39th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Erasmo Simão took a quick shot and it went in 6-0 without a chance for Betão de Moraes to make any attempt to save it. Betão de Moraes came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Grentino FC's Erasmo Simão. But to his dismay, Erasmo Simão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Betão de Moraes was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Erasmo Simão capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Erasmo Simão really showed his touch with that goal: 8-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafinha Fernandez was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Erasmo Simão made it 9-0 with a short kick to the right side. 20 de Março FC's Betão de Moraes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Erasmo Simão put it in 10-0 from a short distance just to the right of Betão de Moraes. After 60 played minutes 20 de Março FC got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Fontes. If Erasmo Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. Betão de Moraes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. Erasmo Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gualter Sampaio in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Betão de Moraes saved 20 de Março FC from getting behind. Erasmo Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Betão de Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Erasmo Simão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gualter Sampaio took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Betão de Moraes. Betão de Moraes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 13-0. 94 minutes into the game, Grentino FC's Erasmo Simão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Betão de Moraes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 14-0. Betão de Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joaquin Xacintu went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 15-0 was the resulting score.
