With an all-out effort, JFSP's Edvaldo Brasil threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roberto Pato, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Edvaldo Brasil made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Cenap İğdemir sent off a good shot on target. When SAS's Luiz Guilherme Paraense in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cenap İğdemir made a kick off. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by JFSP's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edgar Salles was slow to take the kick. During this time SAS's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on SAS's corner Edgar Salles fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Moisés Novaes quite easily take care of the ball. Moisés Novaes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Guilherme Paraense's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Agostinho Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Novaes having to interfere. The supporters of SAS booed when JFSP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baykal Yanal didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, SAS's Moisés Novaes threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edgar Salles, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Edgar Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. SAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Salles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moisés Novaes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Agostinho Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Novaes having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, SAS's goal looked a bit too open when Cenap İğdemir came free, but Edvaldo Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edvaldo Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cenap İğdemir, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baykal Yanal in the 86th minute of play forced SAS's goalkeeper Edvaldo Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Moisés Novaes made a huge save. In the 93rd minute, Sandrinho Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, SAS's goal looked a bit too open when Baykal Yanal came free, but Edvaldo Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
