With a little luck, 20 de Março FC's Renan Schmidt got control of the ball when Juvenal de Senna tried to sneak it across the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, 20 de Março FC's goal looked a bit too open when Juvenal de Senna came free, but Renan Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Absalon Berritsgård hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. But to his dismay, Ioseba Gonzalvez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lei Lin Kun in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renan Schmidt saved 20 de Março FC from getting behind. In the 35th minute Absalon Berritsgård shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 de Março FC's Renan Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lei Lin Kun in the 36th minute of play. Petruț Caraiman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lei Lin Kun to make the kick off.
