Grentino FC's Amadeu de Alcântara managed to work through Cremonese FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Cremonese FC were furious when Chu Feng Sang was red carded, 92 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 94 minutes into the match, Grentino FC's Bo Edström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kong Gang Zhan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Grentino FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Grentino FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
