If Darren Verlet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in 20 de Março FC's zone, Darren Verlet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renan Schmidt came out of the goal and Darren Verlet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulinho Gogov kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Renan Schmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darren Verlet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 de Março FC's Renan Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darren Verlet in the 19th minute of play. Darren Verlet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renan Schmidt having to interfere. Renan Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xacintu Magadan in the 24th minute of the match. A collision led to 20 de Março FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Waldemar Frænkel hit a great ball. In the 27th minute Xacintu Magadan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renan Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Osmundsen in the 30th minute of the match. The corner led Maraponga FAC's Jimmy Lind to fire away a dangerous shot which Renan Schmidt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Douglas Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xacintu Magadan in the 37th minute of play forced 20 de Março FC's goalkeeper Renan Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renan Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xacintu Magadan in the 38th minute of play. Xacintu Magadan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Renan Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The 20 de Março FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maraponga FAC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xacintu Magadan was the one to do the kick off. Renan Schmidt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 72nd minute of the match, Darren Verlet tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Renan Schmidt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Renan Schmidt was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Darren Verlet capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Darren Verlet really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3.
