The Capibaribe Stars fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberigo Prosperi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dário Martins hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 59thth minute of the game Alberigo Prosperi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ferreira Lopes MZC's Tomé Montenegro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Capibaribe Stars's Mohamed Basso was substituted for Alberigo Prosperi. The supporters of Capibaribe Stars booed when Ferreira Lopes MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herald Depauw didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Capibaribe Stars had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
