After 7 played minutes -BZF- Valea Buzăului got a freekick which was hit by Iulian Strungă. Augustin Radu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manole Tăcutu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to Scorpions -MM- getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Vali Surugiu hit a great ball. In the 10th minute of the match Iancu Rebec shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iurie Cocoș showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Scorpions -MM-'s goalkeeper Iurie Cocoș had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ana Ţugui. After having played for 15 minutes, Augustin Radu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scorpions -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Augustin Radu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 19 played minutes -BZF- Valea Buzăului got a freekick which was hit by Cazimir Bidulescu. 21 minutes into the match, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Ana Ţugui sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iurie Cocoș narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Ţugui in the 22nd minute of play forced Scorpions -MM-'s goalkeeper Iurie Cocoș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iurie Cocoș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Ţugui, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute -BZF- Valea Buzăului were awarded a corner. Emanuel Ioanițiu went to the cornerflag to take it. Ana Ţugui hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Iurie Cocoș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Ţugui, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 39th minute Flávio Ţugui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iurie Cocoș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ana Ţugui could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Iurie Cocoș made a huge save. In the 42nd minute of the match, Flávio Ţugui tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Iurie Cocoș saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Ana Ţugui managed to get in a good position for a shot. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's supporters rose to their feet, but Ana Ţugui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iurie Cocoș breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flávio Ţugui was the one to do the kick off. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Manole Tăcutu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Năstase in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Ana Ţugui had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iurie Cocoș. Scorpions -MM-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ana Ţugui was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Ţugui in the 60th minute of play forced Scorpions -MM-'s goalkeeper Iurie Cocoș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Scorpions -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Ana Ţugui came free, but Iurie Cocoș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. -BZF- Valea Buzăului made a substitution. Sabin Cândroveanu replaced Emanuel Ioanițiu. In the 71st minute, Iancu Rebec ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iurie Cocoș was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Horea Neculuță was substituted for Paul Baran. 77 minutes into the match, Ana Ţugui had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iurie Cocoș. Scorpions -MM-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ana Ţugui was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 81 minutes into the game, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Flávio Ţugui nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iurie Cocoș made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 88 minutes into the game, Mihai Stoleru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scorpions -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave -BZF- Valea Buzăului the free kick. In the 90th minute of the match Iulian Strungă sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iurie Cocoș skillfully saved the ball. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
