Garopaba F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Bin Shevchenko scored to the left of an out of position Orlando da Cunha, making the score, 1-0. Orlando da Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bin Shevchenko in the 5th minute. Tomás Gajardo made in the 8th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Blumenau Esporte Clube's Lucas-Ignacio Lugano. Dedé Correia might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Fábio Leite. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dedé Correia ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedé Correia in the 18th minute of play forced Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dedé Correia in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Fábio Leite prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Luiz Fábio Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dedé Correia in the 25th minute of play. Dedé Correia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Fábio Leite having to make a save. 30 minutes into the match, Blumenau Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Dedé Correia came free, but Luiz Fábio Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 32 minutes of play, Blumenau Esporte Clube's Bin Shevchenko made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Orlando da Cunha was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedé Correia in the 37th minute of play forced Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fábio Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedé Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedé Correia in the 45th minute of play forced Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 52 played minutes Garopaba F.C got a freekick which was hit by Keven Swift. Orlando da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bin Shevchenko in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute Blumenau Esporte Clube were awarded a corner. Nildo Dantas went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bin Shevchenko in the 58th minute of play forced Garopaba F.C's goalkeeper Orlando da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edvaldo de Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Orlando da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Luiz Fábio Leite proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Blumenau Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. In the 64th minute Bin Shevchenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bin Shevchenko struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Orlando da Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blumenau Esporte Clube. Dedé Correia in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luiz Fábio Leite, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Yanne Van Meerbeeck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute, Tomás Gajardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the match, Garopaba F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Edvaldo de Toledo came free, but Orlando da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bin Shevchenko in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orlando da Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 86th match minute, Blumenau Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nildo Dantas to maneuver through the defense. Yanne Van Meerbeeck hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The Blumenau Esporte Clube support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
