Bruno Cappelsmans hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Fabian Söderström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinard Hennes, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the game, Twelve Ravens's Reinard Hennes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabian Söderström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Twelve Ravens's Roland Vanden Broucke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Slaghmeulders in the 16th minute of play. Fabian Söderström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reinard Hennes in the 17th minute. Twelve Ravens's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lennart De Coster in the 19th minute. Twelve Ravens's Yanick Goosens was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fabian Söderström in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Haithabu FC's Fabian Söderström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Cappelsmans in the 19th minute of play. Osvald Lindberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Fabian Söderström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roland Vanden Broucke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Slaghmeulders in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramzi Drouart in the 28th minute of play forced Twelve Ravens's goalkeeper Roland Vanden Broucke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 played minutes Haithabu FC got a freekick which was hit by Sylwester Sobania. In the 44th match minute, Haithabu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramzi Drouart to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Jacinto Torres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Haithabu FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Reinard Hennes to make the kick off. Twelve Ravens's Roland Vanden Broucke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Twelve Ravens from getting a goal against them. In the 57th minute Ramzi Drouart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Vanden Broucke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roland Vanden Broucke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramzi Drouart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd play minute Jacinto Torres came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Roland Vanden Broucke. 1-2. Haithabu FC made a substitution. Mauri Icardi replaced Jacinto Torres. Twelve Ravens's Bjorn Van de Weijer was substituted for Reinard Hennes. Yanick Goosens kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Roland Vanden Broucke was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Ramzi Drouart capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ramzi Drouart really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. 71 minutes into the match, Mauri Icardi notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Twelve Ravens's Roland Vanden Broucke. Roland Vanden Broucke was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
