The audience thought a goal was coming when Gervasio Albonico got free with Michel Hendrickx in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gervasio Albonico was the one to do the kick off. Catalino Rivarola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Söderström having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Olavarria FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
