In the 3rd minute Ulf Öfverman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lukas Drewitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 5 minutes into the match, The Heren Istarion's goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Öfverman came free, but Lukas Drewitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brothers of Mercy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Thiago van Dijk in the 6th minute. The corner ended in Thiago van Dijk almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but The Heren Istarion's Lukas Drewitz did a great save. 12 minutes into the game, Jörn Matsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brothers of Mercy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Heren Istarion the free kick. Jörn Matsson kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Elberg Azov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th match minute, Brothers of Mercy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mats Elg to maneuver through the defense. After the first half The Heren Istarion were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Khamzat Chimaev to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match The Heren Istarion got a corner. Brothers of Mercy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fred Amorim ran over to the corner to take the kick. The Heren Istarion's Fred Amorim was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alexandre Pires in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Brothers of Mercy's Leonardo Odeen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fred Amorim in the 54 minute of the game. 56 minutes into the game, The Heren Istarion's Elberg Azov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandre Pires made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The Heren Istarion's Torbjörn Josefsson was substituted for Khamzat Chimaev. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Odeen in the 62nd minute of play forced The Heren Istarion's goalkeeper Lukas Drewitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Brothers of Mercy's Alexandre Pires got control of the ball when Christopher Öberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ulf Öfverman took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lukas Drewitz. Lukas Drewitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Brothers of Mercy made a substitution. Erramu Chute replaced Bengt-Rune Strömbom. Alexandre Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christopher Öberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the game, Christopher Öberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alexandre Pires. Christopher Öberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. The Heren Istarion's Lukas Drewitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Öfverman in the 74th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Jan-Ove Berglund managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Heren Istarion's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Ove Berglund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Pires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th match minute, The Heren Istarion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Åberg to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Christopher Öberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alexandre Pires. That made the score 1-5 in the 82 minute of play. Ulf Öfverman took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lukas Drewitz. Lukas Drewitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. Brothers of Mercy's Alexandre Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elberg Azov in the 91st minute of play. In the 94th match minute, Brothers of Mercy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulf Öfverman to maneuver through the defense. The The Heren Istarion supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing The Heren Istarion would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
