The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Brothers of Mercy's Dan Björk managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Benny Bennis in the 4 minute of the game. Ulf Öfverman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Ulf Skoog tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th match minute, Stardust Unicorns XI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benny Bennis to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the game, 김 남 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stardust Unicorns XI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brothers of Mercy the free kick. If Gustaf Berggren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 minutes, Jörn Matsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brothers of Mercy and the Stardust Unicorns XI players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Stardust Unicorns XI's Frits Andriessen got a free kick in the 36th minute. Thiago van Dijk struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Ulf Skoog didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brothers of Mercy. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Bengt-Rune Strömbom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Ulf Skoog made a huge save. Alexandre Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sirius Thunderchild, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Brothers of Mercy's Erramu Chute was substituted for Bengt-Rune Strömbom. In the 68th minute of the game Joachim Billberg made a throw-in which Leonardo Odeen played forward. After 79 played minutes Stardust Unicorns XI got a freekick which was hit by 김 남. After 80 played minutes, Brothers of Mercy's Thiago van Dijk shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ulf Skoog came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brothers of Mercy reached it. Erramu Chute could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Ulf Skoog made a huge save. When 김 남 was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 85 minutes had been played. After 86 played minutes Stardust Unicorns XI got a freekick which was hit by 김 남. Joachim Billberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benny Bennis hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Thiago van Dijk struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Ulf Skoog didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brothers of Mercy. Stardust Unicorns XI's Ulf Skoog proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Stardust Unicorns XI from getting a goal against them. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Brothers of Mercy walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
