Alvin Söderkvist helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, Westra Aros SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvin Söderkvist to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvin Söderkvist in the 13th minute of play forced Sundens BK's goalkeeper Wilhelm Säv to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bror Beck hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. With his leg Wilhelm Säv managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Westra Aros SK's Don Nickler fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Don Nickler in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilhelm Säv prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alvin Söderkvist struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Wilhelm Säv didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Westra Aros SK. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Don Nickler in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilhelm Säv saved Sundens BK from getting behind. 37 minutes into the game, Westra Aros SK's Don Nickler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilhelm Säv made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tommy Asserlindh to strike the kick off in the second half. Don Nickler might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilhelm Säv. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Don Nickler ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilhelm Säv took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Don Nickler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven-Olof Jernberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Ivan Västlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tommy Asserlindh got free with Ivan Västlund in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Don Nickler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilhelm Säv was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. The supporters of Sundens BK booed when Westra Aros SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position.
