Per-Olof Walroth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bror Beck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Westra Aros SK booed when Strömsbro IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rickard Söder didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 5 played minutes Strömsbro IF got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Ola Norberg. Per-Olof Walroth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Bollström in the 6th minute of the match. After 7 minutes, Bernt Löfskog mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Strömsbro IF and the Westra Aros SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10thth minute of the game Don Nickler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Strömsbro IF's Per-Olof Walroth was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Strömsbro IF's Per-Olof Walroth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvin Söderkvist in the 11th minute of play. After 14 minutes, Jörn Hermansson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Strömsbro IF and the Westra Aros SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Don Nickler sped through Strömsbro IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Per-Olof Walroth. Mark Eckegren kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Per-Olof Walroth came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Westra Aros SK's Don Nickler. But to his dismay, Don Nickler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 25 minutes into the match, Don Nickler notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Strömsbro IF's Per-Olof Walroth. Per-Olof Walroth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 31 played minutes Strömsbro IF got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Erik Ingemarsson. 41 minutes into the game, Don Nickler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Per-Olof Walroth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Westra Aros SK's Alvin Söderkvist got a free kick in the 44th minute. Ivan Västlund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jörn Hermansson in the 45th minute. Per-Olof Walroth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Don Nickler went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. After the first half Westra Aros SK were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Don Nickler put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Per-Olof Walroth. After having played for 60 minutes, Alvin Söderkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Westra Aros SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvin Söderkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Westra Aros SK's Alvin Söderkvist got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 86th minute, Don Nickler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Strömsbro IF's zone, Alvin Söderkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per-Olof Walroth came out of the goal and Alvin Söderkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Alvin Söderkvist came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Westra Aros SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvin Söderkvist couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Per-Olof Walroth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Don Nickler. After some careless play in the Strömsbro IF defense, Don Nickler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Per-Olof Walroth. The Strömsbro IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Per-Olof Walroth should have stopped the shot.
