Per-Olof Walroth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torsten Svensson in the 7th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's goal looked a bit too open when Torsten Svensson came free, but Per-Olof Walroth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 12 played minutes Strömsbro IF got a freekick which was hit by Rickard Söder. Per-Olof Walroth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Grep, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The audience was convinced that Mattias Grep's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Per-Olof Walroth was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. In the 17th minute Mattias Grep shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Olof Walroth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Stig Sjögren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Magne Håkansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strömsbro IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Magne Håkansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Pilblad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 28 played minutes BK Tåfjutt got a freekick which was hit by Jack Jönsson. After a defensive mix-up in BK Tåfjutt's zone, Paul Hellström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kurt Pilblad came out of the goal and Paul Hellström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Per-Olof Walroth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mattias Grep in the 31st minute of the match. If Mattias Grep had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kurt Pilblad was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paul Hellström showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 35 minute of play. Per-Olof Walroth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brown Eye in the 38th minute of play. Kristian Fransson kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Mattias Grep fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Olof Walroth having to interfere.

The supporters of BK Tåfjutt booed when Strömsbro IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Stenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 53 minutes into the match, BK Tåfjutt's Kristian Fransson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Per-Olof Walroth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Strömsbro IF's Per-Olof Walroth got control of the ball when Torsten Svensson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Per-Olof Walroth was a little too slow when Brown Eye got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 1-1. After a rather tough play, Strömsbro IF's Nils-Åke Telin got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Per-Olof Walroth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristian Fransson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Per-Olof Walroth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristian Fransson, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After 72 played minutes Strömsbro IF got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Löfskog. In the 74th match minute, Strömsbro IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Arne Spets to maneuver through the defense. Kurt Pilblad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Hellström in the 79th minute of play. Per-Olof Walroth made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Brown Eye sent off a good shot on target. Arvid Bergström charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arvid Bergström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 89th minute, Arvid Bergström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Roger Salkvist from long distance, 90 minutes into the match, got Per-Olof Walroth's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 92nd match minute, BK Tåfjutt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brown Eye to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute Mattias Grep shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Olof Walroth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Arne Spets's late challenge caught a BK Tåfjutt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Arne Spets helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Strömsbro IF's Sven-Arne Spets got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute of the match Brown Eye shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Per-Olof Walroth showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
