When Magne Håkansson came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Strömsbro IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Magne Håkansson couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Strömsbro IF's Jon Ivarsson got a free kick in the 15th minute. The supporters of FC Bullen booed when Strömsbro IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Rosen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Strömsbro IF's Sebastian Rosen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Staffan Julin. Staffan Julin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Per-Olof Walroth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Hedkvist in the 39th minute of play. Staffan Julin made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Paul Hellström sent off a good shot on target. Gunnar Hökkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Per-Olof Walroth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastian Rosen made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Sebastian Rosen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Strömsbro IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Bullen the free kick.
