Forrest Gumpfer started the match with the kick off. Niklas Ström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Asklöv in the 14th minute of play. Niklas Ström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Arne Lång in the 20th minute of the match. Konrad Lindström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 24 minutes, Alexander Öberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UÅ Mästerbotten and the spikarna players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute, Alexander Öberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niklas Ström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per-Arne Lång, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viktor Blomberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Forrest Gumpfer in the 26th minute. Viktor Blomberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Forrest Gumpfer, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Per-Arne Lång's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niklas Ström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. UÅ Mästerbotten's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walter Asklöv was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2.

The wind increased when Per-Arne Lång made the kick off in the second half. Walter Löfgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Viktor Blomberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 59 played minutes spikarna got a freekick which was hit by Kjell Vallman. The UÅ Mästerbotten fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when UÅ Mästerbotten's Forrest Gumpfer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 64 minutes, Forrest Gumpfer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UÅ Mästerbotten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Forrest Gumpfer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 66th minute of the match Alfred Falk completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alfred Falk a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to spikarna getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Alfred Falk hit a great ball. In the 68th minute of the match George Lindberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Viktor Blomberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 69 minutes in the game Alexander Öberg did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Kurt Stålberg. In the 75th minute, Walter Asklöv got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Forrest Gumpfer in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Viktor Blomberg saved spikarna from getting behind. If Per-Arne Lång had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Forrest Gumpfer came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the UÅ Mästerbotten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Forrest Gumpfer couldn't finish the play. Adam Rosendahl hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Börje Hybbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Niklas Ström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Forrest Gumpfer kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Viktor Blomberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Forrest Gumpfer's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Håkan Morat's late challenge caught a UÅ Mästerbotten's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Håkan Morat helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th match minute, spikarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Håkan Morat to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. spikarna walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
