Virgil Meleșcanu hit a great ball. Traian Sucigan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olimpiu Postelnicescu in the 9th minute of play. Traian Sucigan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olimpiu Postelnicescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Sorin Răduța fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Valar's protests and gave Sorin Răduța a yellow card for diving instead. Sorin Răduța hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Bogdan Goma made a precise shot to the right of Francisc Ghionescu. The Valar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Francisc Ghionescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vintilă Bâru, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 21st minute Horia Boerescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Traian Sucigan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Valar's Horia Boerescu took a good shot, in the 32nd minute, which hit the crossbar above Traian Sucigan's head, and flew over the goal. Alexandria Team08's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by The Valar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olimpiu Postelnicescu in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Traian Sucigan saved Alexandria Team08 from getting behind. After 37 minutes, Olimpiu Postelnicescu made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Alexandria Team08's Traian Sucigan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Traian Sucigan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olimpiu Postelnicescu in the 45th minute of play. Filip Fărcășan charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filip Fărcășan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olimpiu Postelnicescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Olimpiu Postelnicescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Traian Sucigan was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Traian Sucigan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olimpiu Postelnicescu's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. When Eduard Vrejiu fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alexandria Team08's protests and gave Eduard Vrejiu a yellow card for diving instead. Traian Sucigan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stelian Ungur's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After 79 minutes, Niculae Corvin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alexandria Team08 and the The Valar players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Alexandria Team08's zone, Damian Dăscălescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Traian Sucigan came out of the goal and Damian Dăscălescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Niculae Corvin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damian Dăscălescu in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Traian Sucigan saved Alexandria Team08 from getting behind. 88 minutes into the match, Alexandria Team08's goal looked a bit too open when Olimpiu Postelnicescu came free, but Traian Sucigan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Traian Sucigan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stelian Ungur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. The Valar fully deserved thier win.
