The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernanco Peso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernanco Peso in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomasz Galus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fidencio Frera was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 53 minutes into the match. Tomasz Galus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernanco Peso, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Fernanco Peso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 61 minutes of play, Sporting Cristal's Fernanco Peso made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomasz Galus was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sporting Cristal's Fernanco Peso got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gonzalo Benavente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sporting Cristal's Frank Tassotti was substituted for Tobias Larsson. After having played for 76 minutes, Ademar Damião managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RED STAR FC.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ademar Damião was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christian Luciano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomasz Galus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Tomasz Galus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Luciano, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Teymur Alşanov's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jon Iruegas firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 86thth minute of the game Christian Luciano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RED STAR FC.'s Tomasz Galus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Luciano in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomasz Galus saved RED STAR FC. from getting behind. Jon Iruegas made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Teymur Alşanov sent off a good shot on target. 90 minutes into the match, Teymur Alşanov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jon Iruegas. Sporting Cristal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teymur Alşanov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Sporting Cristal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gertjan De Ryck in the 95th minute. After taking down the ball on Sporting Cristal's corner Gertjan De Ryck fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tomasz Galus quite easily take care of the ball.
