But to his dismay, Richie Ason quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Guillelmus Zarraga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Escobar in the 12th minute of play. After some careless play in the LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU defense, Alfredo Tomasini kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guillelmus Zarraga. The LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guillelmus Zarraga should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 17 in the game by Rogerio Sambrano from a close distance when the talented Ruy Berger managed to make a qualified save. ALIANZA 1901's players were relieved. Guillelmus Zarraga came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by ALIANZA 1901's Alfredo Tomasini. But to his dismay, Alfredo Tomasini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 24th minute, Alfredo Tomasini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ALIANZA 1901 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Guillelmus Zarraga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Escobar went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. If Brais Lahoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU's Maximiliano Loco got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 41st minute, the referee gave LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU a penalty. Klas Mager looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Ruy Berger. In the 46th minute Alfredo Tomasini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillelmus Zarraga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rogerio Sambrano to make the kick off. Luis Escobar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Guillelmus Zarraga skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 55th match minute, ALIANZA 1901 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pancho Tabernilla to maneuver through the defense. Rogerio Sambrano might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruy Berger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rogerio Sambrano ran back to his position shaking his head. ALIANZA 1901's Ruy Berger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogerio Sambrano in the 56th minute of play. Luis Escobars short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Guillelmus Zarraga to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Escobar in the 59th minute of play forced LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU's goalkeeper Guillelmus Zarraga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU's Guillelmus Zarraga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU from getting a goal against them. LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU's Rogerio Sambrano got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brais Lahoz got free with Guillelmus Zarraga in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 70 minutes into the match, LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU's Silvério Macedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruy Berger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU's Xayvion Longoria was substituted for Uriel Capablanca. Rojelio Daza made a great header on ALIANZA 1901's corner, it was just that LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU's Guillelmus Zarraga managed to reach the ball for a save. Guillelmus Zarraga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luis Escobar's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute, LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU's Maximiliano Loco seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Maximiliano Loco the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Maximiliano Loco had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 78th minute, Maximiliano Loco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guillelmus Zarraga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richie Ason, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richie Ason in the 86th minute of play forced LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU's goalkeeper Guillelmus Zarraga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pancho Tabernilla hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The supporters of LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU booed when ALIANZA 1901 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josepe Gamiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ALIANZA 1901 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
