An unexpectedly hard shot by Niguel Madariaga in the 3rd minute of play forced RESISTIR SC's goalkeeper Isidro Boni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. RESISTIR SC were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Sporting Cristal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edelmiro Ruelas took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Edelmiro Ruelas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jon Iruegas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Isidro Boni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernanco Peso's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute Sporting Cristal were awarded a corner. Tobias Larsson went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of RESISTIR SC's goalie and right to Gertjan De Ryck. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. RESISTIR SC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Isidro Boni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niguel Madariaga in the 14th minute of the match. Ronaldão Nogueira struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Isidro Boni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Cristal. In the 18th minute Fernanco Peso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Boni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edelmiro Ruelas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jon Iruegas having to interfere. The throw-in from Edelmiro Ruelas in the 22nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sporting Cristal's Gertjan De Ryck. Garaile Freijo charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Garaile Freijo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Isidro Boni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernanco Peso in the 30th minute of the match. After 32 minutes RESISTIR SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tobias Larsson who took care of the corner kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Izel Guill got free with Jon Iruegas in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Isidro Boni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 65 minutes into the match, Sporting Cristal's Fernanco Peso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isidro Boni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the RESISTIR SC defense, Hüseyin Turan Elçibey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isidro Boni. The RESISTIR SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isidro Boni should have stopped the shot. Jon Iruegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Izel Guill in the 71st minute of the match. Sporting Cristal's Sal Grandoso was substituted for Claudinei Suarbol. In the 77th minute of the match Sporting Cristal got a corner. RESISTIR SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tobias Larsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sporting Cristal's Niguel Madariaga was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Isidro Boni in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to RESISTIR SC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Oskarbi Bornes hit a great ball. A throw-in in the 88th minute of the game was made by Ronaldão Nogueira with Hüseyin Turan Elçibey as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sporting Cristal walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
