Clas Nørstrup could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Armindo Salgado made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Söderhall's zone, Joaquim de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Svante Stenqvist came out of the goal and Joaquim de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 6 minutes into the match, Söderhall's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Caeiro came free, but Svante Stenqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 minutes Söderhall's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Álvaro Rezende who took care of the corner kick. Söderhall's Svante Stenqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim de Barros in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of VB-Team booed when Söderhall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Åke Alebeck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armindo Salgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Åke Alebeck in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute, Joaquim de Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Svante Stenqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Svante Stenqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shao Kun Yuan in the 35th minute of play. Sven-Åke Alebeck scored 1-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armindo Salgado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th minute, Sven-Åke Alebeck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim de Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Söderhall's Svante Stenqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Söderhall from getting a goal against them. In the 55th minute, Joaquim de Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Svante Stenqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shao Kun Yuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Svante Stenqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shao Kun Yuan in the 60th minute of the match. Svante Stenqvist had in the 70thth minute some difficulties stopping Traian Hăvârneanu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Sven-Åke Alebeck took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armindo Salgado. Armindo Salgado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sven-Åke Alebeck in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armindo Salgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 80 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goal looked a bit too open when Clas Nørstrup came free, but Armindo Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Söderhall's Sven-Åke Alebeck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armindo Salgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Svante Stenqvist stood somewhat misplaced when Gervásio Severiano came free in front of goal and shot 3-3 to the left of him in the 89 minute. 92 minutes into the match, Söderhall's goalkeeper Svante Stenqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Traian Hăvârneanu. After some careless play in the Söderhall defense, Traian Hăvârneanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Svante Stenqvist. The Söderhall fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Svante Stenqvist should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Söderhall's Svante Stenqvist got control of the ball when Shao Kun Yuan tried to sneak it across the goal line. VB-Team's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
