Hurricanes FC's Camille Lagrange played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trenton Long in the 9th minute of play. Brooklyn SC's Dwight Schrute got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 30 minutes of play, Brooklyn SC's Trenton Long made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Camille Lagrange was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 33 played minutes Hurricanes FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Larsen. After some careless play in the Hurricanes FC defense, Trenton Long kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camille Lagrange. The Hurricanes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camille Lagrange should have stopped the shot. George Potra's late challenge caught a Hurricanes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. George Potra helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 played minutes Brooklyn SC got a freekick which was hit by George Potra. Sherwood Spencer was shown his second yellow card after 39 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amos Hopkins was the one to do the kick off. But to his dismay, Jonas Cole quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-14. Rickey Ewing charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rickey Ewing the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Rickey Ewing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brooklyn SC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
