Natasha Sjøholm made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saturnino Curcio in the 3rd minute. A collision led to Sporting de Gijón getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Matias Bilintx hit a great ball. Óscar Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonatan Smedfeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jochem Klooster in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Óscar Cordoba saved Sporting de Gijón from getting behind. Arman Ekström hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Jochem Klooster came free, but Óscar Cordoba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saturnino Curcio struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Natasha Sjøholm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting de Gijón. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting de Gijón's zone, Jimmy Busk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Óscar Cordoba came out of the goal and Jimmy Busk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matias Bilintx received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Natasha Sjøholm came out and tried to block the shot, but Matias Bilintx slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 25th minute. In the 30th minute, Olívio Sjøholm made a precise shot to the right of Óscar Cordoba. Sporting de Gijón's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Óscar Cordoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy Busk in the 33rd minute of play. Griskultingarnas FF's Olívio Sjøholm managed to work through Sporting de Gijón's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Olívio Sjøholm dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 41st minute Jochem Klooster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Cordoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Óscar Cordoba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Smedfeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Olívio Sjøholm left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Griskultingarnas FF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.

The wind increased when Matias Bilintx made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Griskultingarnas FF booed when Sporting de Gijón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Curcio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sporting de Gijón's Óscar Cordoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmy Busk in the 62nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olívio Sjøholm got free with Óscar Cordoba in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Óscar Cordoba made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Olívio Sjøholm sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th minute, Matias Bilintx made a precise shot to the right of Natasha Sjøholm. Griskultingarnas FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Sporting de Gijón made a substitution. Carolo Ovando replaced Saturnino Curcio. After 74 minutes Sporting de Gijón's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arman Ekström who took care of the corner kick. Óscar Cordoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jochem Klooster in the 77th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jochem Klooster in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Óscar Cordoba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jochem Klooster came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Óscar Cordoba could save by the left post. Matias Bilintx scored 4-2 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Natasha Sjøholm, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Óscar Cordoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy Busk in the 93rd minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Griskultingarnas FF's Arman Ekström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Óscar Cordoba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3.
