Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) With a little luck, Sporting de Gijón's Óscar Cordoba got control of the ball when Ricardo-Enrique Bochini tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 6thth minute of the game Matias Bilintx who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Muchachos del 86's Atahan Balon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ricardo-Enrique Bochini hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matias Bilintx in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atahan Balon saved Los Muchachos del 86 from getting behind. When Saturnino Curcio came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Sporting de Gijón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saturnino Curcio couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Matias Bilintx's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Atahan Balon was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Óscar Cordoba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Brion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the game, Saverio Brion cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Óscar Cordoba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Atahan Balon came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting de Gijón's Matias Bilintx. But to his dismay, Matias Bilintx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo-Enrique Bochini got free with Óscar Cordoba in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Saturnino Curcio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Atahan Balon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Óscar Cordoba came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Muchachos del 86's Ricardo-Enrique Bochini. But to his dismay, Ricardo-Enrique Bochini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Saturnino Curcio scored 3-4 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Atahan Balon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 47 minutes, Eustacio Loiola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting de Gijón and the Los Muchachos del 86 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th minute, Eustacio Loiola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 3-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Saverio Brion to make the kick off. Ricardo-Enrique Bochini took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Óscar Cordoba. Óscar Cordoba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. Esteban Ekaitz hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Cristian Urtzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Muchachos del 86's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Urtzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Óscar Cordoba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Óscar Cordoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Brion in the 60th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Matias Bilintx kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Atahan Balon. That made the score 4-5 in the 62 minute of play. Saverio Brion's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Óscar Cordoba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. After 71 minutes Sporting de Gijón's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cristian Urtzi who took care of the corner kick. Los Muchachos del 86 made a substitution. Szymon Szkaradek replaced Asiz Soon. Los Muchachos del 86 made a substitution. Damian Honesto replaced Saverio Brion. The supporters of Los Muchachos del 86 booed when Sporting de Gijón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Fanström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute Diego Maradona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atahan Balon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Szymon Szkaradek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Muchachos del 86's supporters rose to their feet, but Szymon Szkaradek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The Los Muchachos del 86 supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sporting de Gijón's performance. The match ended with a win for Sporting de Gijón.
