In the 33rd minute, Saverio Brion got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atahan Balon saved Los Muchachos del 86 from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Saverio Brion's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but August Hoffmanns was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. A nice corner shot did that Cristian Urtzi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this August Hoffmanns quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. August Hoffmanns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Bencivenni in the 47th minute of the match. The corner led Los Muchachos del 86's Cristian Urtzi to fire away a dangerous shot which August Hoffmanns despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Anestis Kotsopoulos made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Los Muchachos del 86's zone, Anestis Kotsopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atahan Balon came out of the goal and Anestis Kotsopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. August Hoffmanns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Brion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. August Hoffmanns didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Saverio Brion went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Fabio Bencivenni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Muchachos del 86's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabio Bencivenni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. August Hoffmanns breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 61st managed to get into a good position. In the 61st minute, Hugo Haupt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper August Hoffmanns had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabio Bencivenni. Asiz Soon hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Rot-Weiss-Essen were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Los Muchachos del 86's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Maximilian Henning took the corner. Rot-Weiss-Essen's Anestis Kotsopoulos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Atahan Balon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 70 minutes, Fabio Bencivenni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Muchachos del 86's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabio Bencivenni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Atahan Balon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Mesut Özil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rot-Weiss-Essen's supporters rose to their feet, but Mesut Özil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atahan Balon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Los Muchachos del 86 made a substitution. Damian Honesto replaced Saverio Brion. Los Muchachos del 86's Szymon Szkaradek was substituted for Fabio Bencivenni. August Hoffmanns made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Szymon Szkaradek sent off a good shot on target. 83 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper August Hoffmanns had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Szymon Szkaradek. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximilian Henning in the 87th minute of play forced Los Muchachos del 86's goalkeeper Atahan Balon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns got control of the ball when Damian Honesto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Urtzi kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute of the match Kryspin Banach sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Atahan Balon skillfully saved the ball. In the 92nd minute Anestis Kotsopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atahan Balon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo Haupt hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Szymon Szkaradek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but August Hoffmanns made a huge save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Los Muchachos del 86 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
