In the 3rd match minute, Sodus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fawzi Zeghdoud to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute of the match Nguyễn Minh-ha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abdelkader Benhamou showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Abdelkader Benhamou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Duc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bouabdellah Barbarossa kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. With a little luck, Hà Nội's Trần Ritchell got control of the ball when Chakib Lacen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nguyễn Liem kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. When Đặng Hieu Ngan came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Hà Nội fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Đặng Hieu Ngan couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute of the match, Faouzi Menguellet tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Trần Ritchell saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Faouzi Menguellet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Trần Ritchell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hà Nội's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Faouzi Menguellet 25 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, Hà Nội's goal looked a bit too open when Faouzi Menguellet came free, but Trần Ritchell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faouzi Menguellets short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Trần Ritchell to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Abdelkader Benhamou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lê Cadeo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Đặng Hieu Ngan in the 36th minute of play forced Sodus FC's goalkeeper Abdelkader Benhamou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chakib Lacen struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Trần Ritchell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sodus FC. Chakib Lacen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Trần Ritchell skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Trần Ritchell made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Chakib Lacen sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
Fawzi Zeghdoud kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Abdelkader Benhamou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Đặng Hieu Ngan in the 51st minute. Chakib Lacen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Trần Ritchell having to make a save. A collision led to Sodus FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Bouabdellah Barbarossa hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sodus FC's zone, Nguyễn Duc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdelkader Benhamou came out of the goal and Nguyễn Duc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Sodus FC's Chakib Lacen got a free kick in the 67th minute. Faouzi Menguellet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes into the game, Samir Semghoun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sodus FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hà Nội the free kick. Samir Semghoun kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Hà Nội's goal looked a bit too open when Faouzi Menguellet came free, but Trần Ritchell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nguyễn Duc got free with Abdelkader Benhamou in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 88 minutes into the match, Hà Nội's goal looked a bit too open when Chakib Lacen came free, but Trần Ritchell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Hà Nội's Đặng Hieu Ngan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abdelkader Benhamou. That made the score 1-1 after 91 minutes of play. 2-1 became the score in the 95th minute when Alain Prévost elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Sodus FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hà Nội for a fine match.
