Brúnó Hudák fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Ritchell having to interfere. 6 minutes into the match, Pál Utcai Fiúk's Örs Simkó sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trần Ritchell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Trần Ritchell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brúnó Hudák, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. When Valentin Udvarhelyi fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pál Utcai Fiúk's protests and gave Valentin Udvarhelyi a yellow card for diving instead. Valentin Udvarhelyi kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Lê Cadeo struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Patrik Hidegkúti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hà Nội. Trần Ritchell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brúnó Hudák in the 17th minute of play. When Valentin Udvarhelyi was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 20 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Pál Utcai Fiúk's Valentin Udvarhelyi got a free kick in the 21st minute. Nguyễn Minh-ha was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 22nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Örs Simkó sped through Hà Nội's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Trần Ritchell. Lê Van Tai Em kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Örs Simkó in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trần Ritchell saved Hà Nội from getting behind. Hà Nội's Trần Ritchell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Örs Simkó in the 35th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Lê Cadeo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hà Nội's supporters rose to their feet, but Lê Cadeo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrik Hidegkúti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Đặng Hieu Ngan got free with Patrik Hidegkúti in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trần Ritchell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Örs Simkó in the 41st minute of play. Örs Simkó took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trần Ritchell. Trần Ritchell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Đặng Hieu Ngan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Hà Nội players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pál Utcai Fiúk were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Örs Simkó made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Örs Simkó kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Trần Ritchell. That made the score 0-3 in the 51 minute of play. Lê Cadeo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patrik Hidegkúti having to make a save. Gábor Takács sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Hà Nội's Trần Ritchell got control of the ball when Örs Simkó tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute, Nguyễn Duc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patrik Hidegkúti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Đặng Hieu Ngan in the 73rd minute of the match. Patrik Hidegkúti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Cadeo in the 74th minute of play. Örs Simkó fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Ritchell having to interfere. After 78 played minutes Hà Nội got a freekick which was hit by Tạ Pham. Hà Nội's Trần Ritchell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Hà Nội from getting a goal against them. Pál Utcai Fiúk's Patrik Hidegkúti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lê Cadeo in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Örs Simkó got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Trần Ritchell was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Róbert Baróti. The Pál Utcai Fiúk supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pál Utcai Fiúk would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
