In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s goalkeeper Philip Doyle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Philip Doyle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Ballybunion Celtic F.C. from getting a goal against them. Brock Yarbrough charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brock Yarbrough the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th match minute, Hurricanes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brock Yarbrough to maneuver through the defense. Fabien George sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Tipraite Costello got a free kick in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Richarlison de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hurricanes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Richarlison de Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Doyle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 王亦俊s short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Philip Doyle to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Romain Corcoran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blair Keegan, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Alain Lunsford lost his temper 40 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 42 played minutes Ryleigh McLaughlin shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Hurricanes FC's Romain Corcoran to catch but Ryleigh McLaughlin was lucky. It became 0-3 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Richarlison de Andrade to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Ballybunion Celtic F.C. defense, Florence Marin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Philip Doyle. The Ballybunion Celtic F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Philip Doyle should have stopped the shot. After 64 minutes of play, Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Darrin McLiam made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romain Corcoran was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 66 played minutes Ballybunion Celtic F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ryleigh McLaughlin. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ballybunion Celtic F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! The audience was convinced that Florence Marin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Philip Doyle was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richarlison de Andrade in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Philip Doyle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Philip Doyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richarlison de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Cormac Dillon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute Florence Marin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Doyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romain Corcoran came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Baydan Prunty. But to his dismay, Baydan Prunty quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. Romain Corcoran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cormac Dillon in the 89th minute of play. Hurricanes FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Cormac Dillon scored to the left of an out of position Romain Corcoran, making the score, 2-6. Baydan Prunty might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romain Corcoran. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baydan Prunty ran back to his position shaking his head. 97 minutes into the match, Cormac Dillon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Romain Corcoran, 2-7. The Ballybunion Celtic F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ballybunion Celtic F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
